West Audio, LLC was founded in July of 2019 by Jason West. With his career in the audio and recording industry spanning over 24 years, Jason's experience ranges from recording for independent and major label music productions, to live sound, audio forensics, restoration, audio for film and animation, and studio design and construction.

 

Jason’s recording career dates back to the mid 1990’s, having had the opportunities to work in various capacities at a wide range of recording studios, including Paisley Park Studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota and the legendary Pachyderm Studio located in beautiful Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Jason made his way back to his hometown from Minnesota in the late 1990's and worked locally as the chief engineer and producer at Great Plains Recording Company in Clive. Jason has since moved on to becoming an independent audio engineer and adjunct audio instructor for the film and animation departments at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa.

 

Among the artists and clients Jason has had the privilege to work with include Sarah Darling, Mick Thomson, the Polk County Attorney's office, the West Des Moines Historical Society, GirlsRock DSM and Lazer 103.3 KAZR along with many others.
